CICERO, N.Y. – The St. John Fisher University men's golf team stands in first place by 25 strokes after the first portion of the Empire 8 Men's Golf Championship, which was held on Sunday and Monday at the Lakeshore Yacht and Country Club.
The Cardinals, who collectively finished +28, hold the top three spots on the individual scoreboard after the first two rounds. Senior RJ Juodaitis (+5) leads the field, while junior Keegan Smith (+7) stands in second and senior Joe DePasquale (+8) holds third. Freshman Nick Years and fifth-year senior Nick Tellone finished in a tie for eighth place.
Juodaitis was -1 after shooting a 71 in the first round. He shot a 78 to close out the second session on Monday afternoon.
The spring portion of the Empire 8 Men's Golf Championship, a 36-hole tournament, will be held in April 2025. The individual champion receives an automatic bid to the 2025 NCAA Division III Men's Golf Championship, which will be hosted by St. John Fisher University in May at Midvale Country Club.
