HOWEY-IN-THE-HILLS, Fla. – The St. John Fisher University men's golf team began competition in the 2026 NCAA Division III Men's Golf Championship on the Las Colinas Course at the Mission Resort and Inn on Tuesday.
The Cardinals' five players were unable to complete the first round due to lightning that suspended play for all teams that teed off during the afternoon wave. Fisher, in 41st place at +19 (156 strokes), will finish the first round and play the full second round on Wednesday.
Claremont Mudd-Scripps (-4) holds first place over Carnegie Mellon (-3) and Kenyon (-2). Bethel (-1), Methodist (even), Hartford (even) and Emory (even) are also within striking distance of the lead.
After 36 holes of competition, the field will be cut to the top 18 teams and the top six individuals not on one of those teams. Ties for the cut will be broken by a sudden-death playoff or, if necessary, by the non-sudden-death tiebreaking procedures.
