BROCKPORT, N.Y. – The St. John Fisher women's volleyball team lost its Empire 8 opener in four sets on Friday to SUNY Brockport.
The Cardinals, who'd won two straight matches ahead of the contest, fell to 7-7 overall. Brockport improved to 8-5 (1-0 Empire 8).

The Cardinals lost three sets in a row after winning the first set 25-13. Brockport won the second and third sets 25-21 and the fourth 25-18.

Freshman outside hitter Lydia Fraser had 10 kills in the match, her ninth this season with at least that many. She's recorded double-digit kills in Fisher's last four contests.

Freshman setter Cadence Milligan, in her third match of the season, recorded a career- and team-high 20 assists.

Junior libero Kiera Hartpence recorded 16 digs in the contest. She needs four more to reach 1,000 for her career.
