UTICA, N.Y. – The St. John Fisher University women's volleyball team swept Utica for the ninth straight time, dominating the Pioneers 25-13, 25-13 and 25-12 at the Clark Athletic Center to begin a three-match road swing.
The Cardinals improved to 13-8 (6-2 Empire 8) and recorded its sixth three-set sweep of the season. Utica fell to 5-13 (1-7 Empire 8).

St. John Fisher had 37 kills to Utica's 14. The Cardinals also had a 12-3 advantage in service aces.

Freshman Lydia Fraser recorded 10 kills – tied for a match-high – and finished with a season-best .474 hitting percentage.

Fraser also led the Cardinals in service aces (4) and points (14).

Fraser has recorded at least four aces in four of the Cardinals' last six matches.

Fraser now leads the Cardinals with 37 service aces this season.

Fraser has had at least 10 kills in all but five of the Cardinals' 21 matches this season. She hasn't finished a match with fewer than 10 since Sept. 20.

Sophomore Kaylene Noble also had 10 kills in the match and registered a .240 hitting percentage. She had one service ace and accounted for 10.5 points.

Sophomore Ana Gutman had five kills on eight attack attempts for a .500 hitting percentage.

Gutman has hit .400 or better in nine of Fisher's matches this season. She leads the Empire 8 with a .362 hitting percentage.

Junior setter Reilly Morrow had 10 digs and a match-high 28 assists.

Senior Olivia Nellis had three blocks in the match, her sixth this season with at least that many.

Sophomore Makenzie Desmarais recorded a career-best two aces.
