PITTSFORD, N.Y. -- The St. John Fisher University women's soccer team lost for the first time in more than a month on Wednesday evening, falling 2-1 to No. 24 Penn State Behrend in a late-season non-conference contest at Growney Stadium. The Cardinals fell to 9-4-2 overall.
Senior forward
Riley Grimm opened the scoring early in the first half, scoring her team-leading eighth goal of the season on a loose ball in front of the Penn State Behrend net.
The Lions answered quickly, tying the match just two-minutes later on Lizzie Hoff's goal. Trinity Prestash buried a deep rocket in the 34th minute to give the Lions the lead, which they held the rest of the way.
Fisher had ten total shots in the contest, with six coming in the second half. Goalkeeper
Sofia Pantoja made three saves.
