ELMIRA, N.Y. — The St. John Fisher women's volleyball team beat Elmira College 3-0 on Saturday for its third straight sweep at Speidel Gymnasium.
The Cardinals improved to 12-7 overall (5-1 Empire 8) and won their fifth consecutive Empire 8 contest. Elmira fell to 2-19 (0-7 Empire 8).
Match Notes
- The Cardinals won the first set 25-22, the second 25-20 and the third 25-15.
- St. John Fisher had 39 kills to Elmira's 23.
- Freshman Lydia Fraser reached double-digit kills for the ninth consecutive match. She's had at least 10 in all but five matches this season.
- Fraser also led Fisher in points, recording 14.5 in the three-set sweep.
- Junior Isabella Mahar had a career-high five service aces.
- Sophomore Kaylene Noble had 13 kills in the contest, her 15th this season with 10 or more.
- Freshman Cadence Milligan surpassed 30 assists for the fifth straight match.
- The Cardinals have beaten Elmira 12 times in a row, a streak that began in 2016. Fisher has swept Elmira in 11 of those 12 games.
