PITTSFORD, N.Y. – The St. John Fisher University women's soccer team settled for a 1-1 draw with Hartwick College on Saturday night at Growney Stadium.
The result snapped the Cardinals' string of six consecutive wins and moved their record to 9-3-2 (7-1-1 Empire 8). Fisher and Hartwick (4-4-6, 1-3-5) have tied three times in their last five meetings.

Junior forward Madelyn Wania put the Cardinals ahead 1-0 with her sixth goal of the season at the 18:10 mark in the first half. Wania leads the Cardinals in points (21) and is tied for second in goals (6).

Junior defender Jackie Gervais recorded her first assist and point of the season on that tally.

Hartwick's Stella Rowley tied the game about 15 minutes into the second half.

The Cardinals had 19 shots in the contest to Hartwick's one. Nine of Fisher's shots were on goal.

The Cardinals honored their 11 seniors before the contest. That group included Riley Grimm, Spelman, Abigal Husson, Kate Rachwal, Oliva Relyea, Emma Osterhoudt, Grace Wolsieffer, Siobhan McMakin, Taylor Pantridge, Kyra Kenyon and Gwen Madden.
