Men's Soccer Extends Win Streak to Four

ONEONTA, N.Y.- The St. John Fisher Men Soccer team earned another Empire 8 Conference win with a 2-0 victory over Hartwick. The Cardinals improve to 7-4-4 overall and 6-1-2 in conference games. 

Match Notes 
  • Both goals came in the second half for St. John Fisher. In the 49th minute, Troy Jezioro scored on an assist from Jacob McGinnis.
  • Only seven minutes after braking the 0-0 tie, Riley Rease netted his third goal of the season to make the score 2-0. The unassisted goal from Rease, proved to be enough for the Cardinals to secure the victory.
  • St. John Fisher goalkeeper, Christian Burkart, tallied four saves on the match. Burkhart has now tallied three shutouts in the midst of this Cardinals four-game winning streak.
  • The St. John Fisher out-shot Hartwick eight to six and tallied five total shots on goal.
