Women's Volleyball Sweeps Keuka Again For Fourth Straight Win

PITTSFORD, N.Y. – The St. John Fisher University women's volleyball team won its fourth straight match with a 3-0 victory over Keuka College on Friday night at the Manning and Napier Varsity Gym. 

The Cardinals improved to 11-7 overall (4-1) Empire 8 and earned their second straight three-set sweep. Keuka dropped to 5-13 overall (1-5 Empire 8). 

Match Notes 

  • The Cardinals won set one 25-21, set two 29-27 and dominated set three 25-15. 

  • Freshman Lydia Fraser led the Cardinals with a match-high 17 kills. She finished the contest with a .293 hitting percentage. 

  • Fraser led the Cardinals and set a career-high with 22 total points. She led the team with five aces for the third consecutive match.

  • Sophomore Ana Gutman, who has one of the highest hitting percentages in the Empire 8, finished the match with eight kills and three blocks. She logged a .278 hitting percentage. 

  • Sophomore Kaylene Noble also reached double-digit kills for Fisher, logging 12 in the contest. 

  • The Cardinals had 45 kills to Keuka's 27. 

  • The Cardinals have swept Keuka six times in a row dating back to 2017.
