PITTSFORD, N.Y. – The St. John Fisher University women's volleyball team won its third straight Empire 8 match on Saturday afternoon, sweeping Russell Sage in three sets at Manning and Napier Varsity Gym.
The Cardinals (10-7, 3-1 Empire 8) have won nine straight matches against Sage, which dropped to 12-9 overall (2-3 Empire 8). They have swept the Gators in eight of those meetings, including seven times in a row (2017-present).

Kaylene Noble (11), Lydia Fraser (10) and Ana Gutman (10) all reached double-digit kills for the Cardinals. Fisher amassed 21 more kills than Sage in the match, finishing with a 40-19 edge in that category.

Fraser, a freshman, led the Cardinals in points (15) and aces (5) for the second straight match. She had three aces in a row in the second set.

Gutman reached double-digit kills for the fourth time this season.

Olivia Nellis recorded two blocks in the match, her eighth multi-block performance of the season.

Freshman Cadence Milligan recorded a match-high 32 assists.

The Cardinals outscored Sage 49-24 over three matches. They won the first set 25-15, the second 25-12 and the third 25-20.
