PITTSFORD, N.Y. – The St. John Fisher University men's basketball team, currently third in the Empire 8 standings, heads to Keuka on Tuesday to face the conference-rival Wolves in a game with playoff implications. 
 
Gametime is scheduled for 7:30 P.M.
 
Last Time Out
Fisher won both of its games this past weekend. On Friday, they beat Sage College in a high-scoring 97-90 shootout. They followed that up with a 96-71 win over Hartwick. Fifth-year forward Daniel Cook earned Empire 8 Co-Player of the Week after averaging 24.5 points per game over the weekend. 
 
Empire 8 Race
The Cardinals enter Tuesday with an overall record of 12-7 and a conference mark of 8-2. Keuka sits right behind them in fourth-place in the Empire 8, with a 7-8 overall record but a 5-3 mark in the conference. While a loss to Keuka wouldn't send the Cardinals lower in the overall standings, a win would help create a cushion for Fisher. The top six finishers in the Empire 8 make the conference tournament, with the better seeds hosting games throughout. 
 
Know Your Foe
Fisher is 28-3 all-time against Keuka, including an 8-0 record since 2010. The Cardinals haven't lost to the Wolves since the 1996-97 season. Earlier this year, Fisher beat the Wolves at Manning & Napier by a score of 89-70, with Cook earning a double-double with 25 points and 13 rebounds.
 
Player to Watch
Graduate student Jack Foley has continued to be the best three-point shooter on the Cardinals, and he was active from beyond the arc in the game against Keuka earlier this season, when he had a season-high nine attempts. So far this season, he's made 44 three-pointers, the most on the team and tied for second in the Empire 8. His .463 three-point field goal percentage is the tops in the conference.
