PITTSFORD, N.Y. – The St. John Fisher men's basketball team recently had six players named to the 2025-26 National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Academic Honors Court. 

The NABC Honors Court recognizes juniors, seniors and graduate students who finished the 2025-26 year with a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.2. The Cardinals' honorees include graduate senior Christian Daley, seniors Max Schneider and Louis Fay, and juniors Jonathan McCaffrey, Shawn Minnehan and Giovanni Schillaci. 

Additionally, the Cardinals earned a Team Academic Excellence award from the NABC for finishing the 2025-26 academic year with at least a 3.0 team GPA. 

Daley posted a 3.78 GPA while participating in St. John Fisher's management graduate program. He played in 12 games this season, averaging 3.3 points per contest.

Schneider, who studied marketing, graduated with a 3.9 GPA. He averaged nearly five points and 2.5 assists while playing in 78 games over the last three years. 

A finance major during his time at Fisher, Fay graduated with a 3.84 GPA. Fay grabbed 188 rebounds (2.5 per game), including a career-high 88 in 2025-26, and scored 206 points over four seasons as a Cardinal. 

McCaffrey studies business management and carries a 3.72 GPA into his senior year. He scored 188 points (7.0 per game) while shooting 46.1% from the field and collected 138 rebounds (5.1 per game) this past season. 

Minnehan, a biology student, boasts a 3.61 GPA through his junior year. He appeared in four games during the 2025-26 campaign. 

Schillaci has compiled a 3.1 GPA while studying accounting and finance. He totaled 120 points (5.0 per game) and shot 36.3% from 3-point territory this past season over 24 games, mostly off the bench. 

Daley, Schneider and Fay also garnered NABC Academic honors last season.
