PITTSFORD, N.Y. – The St. John Fisher University women's soccer team blanked conference foe Elmira College on Saturday, 1-0.
Junior midfielder Emma Spelman had the lone goal on the game, scoring in the 34th minute. The Cardinals outshot the Eagles, 30-4, and outshot them 16-3 when only including shots on goal.
Junior Riley Grimm had six shots on the day, including four on goal.
Sophomore Avery Byrnes had three saves while notching her second complete-game clean sheet of the season.
The Cardinals return to the pitch on Wednesday at Growney Stadium when they host Keuka College. Kickoff is 7:00 p.m.
