ANNVILLE, PA – The St. John Fisher University men's soccer team wrapped up their early road trip with a match against Lebanon Valley College on Sunday. The Cardinals fell behind early and fell by a final score of 5-0. Fisher drops to 0-2 on the year and prepare to come home for their first match at Growney.
The Cardinals had a couple of opportunities early one, earning two corner kicks in the opening three minutes. However, Lebanon Valley were the first to strike at the 4:00 minute mark. The Dutchmen added a second in the 14th minute to go up 2-0.
Matt Gentile took a shot in the 23rd minute that went high of the goal. At the break, the Cardinals trailed 2-0.
Fisher was unable to put together many offense opportunities in the second frame, recording just four shots.

Andrew Vannest,
Parker Hotchkiss and Gentile all recorded shots.
Christian Burkhart was called upon to start in goal and ended the match with nine saves.
The Cardinals play their home opener on Wednesday, Sept. 6 as they welcome SUNY Brockport to Growney Field for a 7 p.m. kick-off.
