ALFRED, N.Y. – The St. John Fisher University women's volleyball team won Friday night at Alfred University, three sets to one, to start conference play with a win.
The Cardinals took the first two sets, 25-17 and 29-27, before falling in the third set, 26-24. They then finished it off with a 25-19 fourth set.
Freshman Kaylene Noble and senior Delayne Young led the team with 14 kills, while freshman Ana Gutman had four blocks. Sophomores Reilly Morrow and Kiara Hartpence had 50 assists and 20 digs, respectively.
Fisher returns to action on Saturday when they host Elmira College. Start time is scheduled for 2:00 P.M.
