PITTSFORD, N.Y. – The St. John Fisher University women's tennis team were at home to take on local rivals, Nazareth University. After a tough matchup, the Cardinals fell by a final of 6-3.
In the doubles matches,
Madison Galvin and
Lilly Renzi were the victors against Naz. The put on a strong performance to earn the 8-1 win. In the singles portion of the afternoon, Renzi continued to impress by winning in straight sets, 6-1, 6-1.
Lilly Miller followed the victory with one of her own, taking her opponent in straight sets, 6-2, 6-2.
Up next for Fisher is a contest against Hartwick College on Saturday, Sept. 30. The home match up will begin at 1 p.m.
