KEUKA PARK, N.Y. – Junior Taylor Scrocca scored twice as the St. John Fisher University field hockey team shut out Keuka on Wednesday, 6-0.
Both of Scrocca's goals came in the second quarter. Junior Emma Cooper had a goal and two assists, and junior Anna Melfi and a goal and an assist as well. Senior Sam Choate notched her third goal of the season, while freshman Mary Kate McPhee had her first collegiate goal in the fourth quarter.
Junior Audrey Grieb had two assists, with fellow junior Selena Emery adding another assist.
Junior goalkeeper Senja Matson made four saves for her first collegiate shutout.
The win moves the Cardinals to 2-0 in the Empire 8 this season. It was also the team's sixth straight win over Keuka- the Cardinals have never lost to the Wolves.
The team returns to play on Saturday at 11:00 A.M. at Growney Stadium when they host Roberts Wesleyan.
