GENESEO, N.Y. – The St. John Fisher track and field team kicked off the Outdoor season this weekend, competing in the Geneseo Early Season Invite. The competition continued on Monday, seeing plenty of sprinters battle on the track, while field events were filled with competitors.
 
Curtis Cuvilly and Brady Bishop both finished in the top-5. Cuvilly used a time of 11.17 to take fourth, while Bishop came in fifth with a time of 11.23. Bishop also earned a top-10 finish in the 200m, crossing the finish line in ninth with a time of 23.26. Cole Ferris raced in the 400m and came in seventh with a time of 50.88.
 
Ivan Lopez-Testillano kicked off his outdoor season with a leap of 6.72 in the long jump to finish in third. He also took the top spot in the triple jump, hitting a mark of 14.24m in his final attempt. Bryant DePaull finished in the top-10 in the long jump, doing so with a 6.40m leap in his third attempt. DePaull was also successful in the high-jump, finishing tied for fourth with a leap of 1.86. Sean Cochrane competed in the high jump as well, and took home third-place after clearing 1.94m in his second attempt.
 
Up next for the Cardinals is the Pioneer Spring Invite, hosted by Utica University. The competition will be held on Saturday, April 8.
