ROCHESTER, NY – The St. John Fisher Men's Track and Field team traveled to Rochester as they competed in the University of Rochester Alumni Invitational. The invitational took place on Saturday and was hosted by the University of Rochester. As a team, Fisher scored 33 points and placed seventh out of 13 teams.
On the Track
First, on the track, multiple Cardinals competed in the 3000m steeplechase.
Bogdan Rozvora ran 10:41.93 to place 10
th overall. Less than a second behind,
Kevin Havens ran 10:42.33 to place 11
th overall.
Later in the meet,
Trenton Wynn competed in the 110m hurdles. Wynn ran 15.94, placing sixth overall and scoring three points. With his performance, Wynn moves up to third in the Empire 8 (E8).
A few events later, Fisher competed in the 400m.
Cole Ferris ran 50.64, placing seventh overall.
In the 100m,
Brady Bishop took sixth place with a time of 11.15, moving up to third in the conference. In a close time,
Curtis Cuvilly ran 11.16, taking seventh overall.
Later in the meet, the Cardinals competed in the 200m. Bishop ran 22.71, placing sixth overall.
Right after,
Riley Nash competed in the 5000m. Nash ran 15:55.05, placing 11
th overall and moving up to sixth on the E8 leader board.
On the Field
Collecting the men's first win of the day,
Sean Cochrane placed first in the high jump, with a jump of 1.97m. With his performance, Cochrane increases his lead atop the conference leader board.
In the triple jump,
Ivan Lopez-Testillano jumped 14.03m, placing second overall.
The long jump saw
Jason Weng jump 5.65m, taking 28
th place and qualifying for the E8 Championship.
Ending the day on the track, Fisher competed in the hammer throw.
Brandon Kaplan threw 48.48m, placing seventh overall and moving up to third in the conference.
Jack Bickford threw 45.85m, placing ninth overall.
Next up, Fisher hosts the annual Cardinal Classic Invite at the Polisseni T&F Complex. The two-day meet will take place on Friday, Apr. 28, and Saturday, Apr. 29.
