GENESEO, NY – The St. John Fisher Women's Track and Field team traveled to Geneseo, N.Y. to compete in day one of the Geneseo Early Season Invitational. The meet took place on Sunday and was hosted by SUNY Geneseo.

On the Track
The Cardinals started the meet strong, running the 10,000m. Lauren DeMichele ran 39:12.21 to place second overall. Not far behind, Brigid McGee ran 39:36.93, placing eighth overall. Laura Witt ran 40:11.91, placing tenth overall. Audrey Carragher ran 43:35.91, placing 15^th overall. All four runners ran Empire 8 (E8) Championship qualifying times.

Next up, multiple Cardinals competed in the 1500m. Caitlin Voloshen ran 5:07.17, placing 20^th overall. Riley Jameson was next for Fisher, running 5:20.78 to place 47^th overall. Next, Sabrina Antonini ran 5:24.93 to place 51^st overall. Right behind, Allison List ran 5:25.23 to place 52^nd overall. All four runners ran E8 Championship qualifying times.

Fisher ended the day with multiple Cardinals competing in the 5000m. Sophia Prouty ran 19:16.85 to place 22^nd overall. Lauren Almy ran 19:40.13 to place 27^th overall. In 33^rd, Abigail Perry ran 20:50.52. All three runners ran E8 Championship qualifying times.

On the Field
First on the field for Fisher, multiple Cardinals competed in the discus throw. Makenna King threw 37.85m to place fifth overall. Lyndsay O'Brien threw 27.65m, placing 19^th overall. Hallie Knapp threw 27.60m, placing 21^st overall. Placing 25^th overall, Erin McGuinness threw 26.71m. All four throwers threw E8 Championship qualifying marks.

Up next, multiple Cardinals competed in the javelin throw. Ada Sylvester threw 28.55m to place ninth overall. Claudia Vogel threw 23.24m, placing 17^th overall. Not far behind, Paige Lundgren threw 21.43m to place 22^nd overall. All three runners threw E8 Championship qualifying marks.

Next up for the Cardinals is day two of the Geneseo Early Season Invitational, hosted by SUNY Geneseo. Day two will take place on Monday, Apr. 3, and will begin at 1:45 P.M.
