GENESEO, NY – The St. John Fisher Men's Track and Field team traveled to Geneseo, N.Y. to compete in day one of the Geneseo Early Season Invitational. The meet took place on Sunday and was hosted by SUNY Geneseo.
On the Track
The Cardinals started their day on the track with the 1500m.
Myles Andersen ran 4:20.42, placing 54
th overall.
Jason Kincaid was next, running 4:24.93 to place 60
th overall. Both runners ran Empire 8 (E8) Championship qualifying times.
Next up,
Bogdan Rozvora competed in the 3000m steeplechase. Rozvora ran 10:43.15 to place 12
th overall. His performance qualifies him for the E8 Championship. Multiple Cardinals competed in the 5000m.
Ethan Billings ran 15:47.28, placing 13
th overall. Not far behind,
Riley Nash ran 16:00.46 to place 15
th overall.
Nick Ferri ran 16:21.32 to place 21
st overall. Next,
Brandon Nicosia ran 16:32.94 to place 28
th overall.
Kevin Havens ran 16:49.51 to place 32
nd overall. Close to Havens, Morales ran 16:59.76 to place 35
th overall.
Ending the day on the track for the Cardinals, was the 800m.
Peter Briggs ran 2:02.16 to place 21
st overall. His performance qualifies him for the E8 Championship.
On the Field
Competing first on the field, Fisher competed in the javelin throw.
Cole Fuller threw 31.44m to place 24
th overall. His performance qualifies him for the E8 Championship.
Next up, the Cardinals competed in the open discus throw.
Bryce Grove threw 36.24m, placing third overall.
Joey Curr was next for Fisher, throwing 34.99m to place fifth overall.
Gavin Grinnell threw 31.53m, placing seventh overall. All three throwers threw E8 Championship qualifying marks.
Next up for the Cardinals is day two of the Geneseo Early Season Invitational, hosted by SUNY Geneseo. Day two will take place on Monday, Apr. 3, and will begin at 1:45 P.M.
