BROCKPORT, NY – The. St. John Fisher Men's Track and Field team traveled to Brockport, N.Y. as they competed in day two of the Brockport Multi & Invitational. Day two took place on Saturday and was hosted by SUNY Brockport. Aditionally, some Cardinals traveled to Lewisburg, P.A. as they competed in day two of the Bucknell Bison Outdoor Classic, hosted by Bucknell University.
On the Track at Brockport
First on the track, Fisher had two Cardinals competing in the 3000m steeplechase. Allison List ran 13:13.30, placing seventh overall. Maggie Dolloff ran 13:51.50, placing 11
th overall. Both runners ran Empire 8 (E8) Championship qualifying times.
Next on the track, multiple Cardinals competed in the 1500m.
Laura Witt ran 5:02.09, placing fourth overall. Finishing next,
Brigid McGee ran 5:22.21, placing 27
th overall. Both runners ran E8 Championship qualifying times.
In the 100m hurdles,
Lily Rexford ran 17.48 to place eighth overall.
On the Field at Brockport
Starting on the field, multiple Cardinals competed in the shot put.
Makenna King threw 12.25m, placing third overall and moving up to second in the conference. Next,
Lyndsay O'Brien threw 11.23m, placing seventh overall. Taking 10
th overall,
Erin McGuinness threw 11.11m.
Jazelle McIntyre threw 8.78m, placing 26
th overall and qualifying for the E8 Championship. In the discus throw, King threw 41.04m, taking first place overall.
Next up, Fisher competed in the long jump.
Michaela Kurbs jumped 5.57m, placing second overall. Her performance moves her up to first in the conference and third in the region.
Emily Frech and
Hayly Fredrickson both competed in the pole vault. Frech took seventh with a height of 2.80m and Fredrickson leapt over the 2.65m bar to come in eighth.
Heptathlon
Competing in the heptathlon,
Logan Fredrickson scored 2943 points, placing sixth overall and qualifying for the E8 Championship. Fredrickson's best performance came in the shot put, where she threw 9.16m to place second.
At Bucknell University
First on the track, Fisher competed in the 1500m.
Caitlin Voloshen ran 4:57.08 to place 61
st overall and move up to second in the conference. Not far behind,
Olivia Grinnell ran 5:02.90 to place 86
th and qualify for the Empire 8 Championship.
Next up, Fisher will be competing in day three of the Bucknell Bison Outdoor Classic. The invite will take place on Sunday, Apr. 16, and will be hosted by Bucknell University.
