BROCKPORT, NY – The. St. John Fisher Men's Track and Field team traveled to Brockport, N.Y. as they competed in day two of the Brockport Multi & Invitational. Day two took place on Saturday and was hosted by SUNY Brockport. Additionally, some Cardinals traveled to Lewisburg, P.A. as they competed in day two of the Bucknell Bison Outdoor Classic, hosted by Bucknell University.
 
On the Track at Brockport

First on the track, multiple Cardinals competed in the 10,000m. Brandon Nicosia ran 34:53.86, placing third overall. Not far behind, Nick Ferri ran 34:58.21, placing fourth overall. Both runners ran Empire 8 (E8) Championship qualifying times.
 
Next up, Joshua Sandoval competed in the 3000m steeplechase. Sandoval ran 11:25.34 to place eighth overall, qualifying for the E8 Championship.
 
In the 1500m, Riley Nash ran 4:14.10, placing 11^th overall and moving up to eighth in the conference.
 
A couple events later, Luke Defio competed in the 110m hurdles. Defio ran 16.87 to place seventh overall and move up to sixth in the conference. In the 400m hurdles Defio took eighth with a time of 59.58. John Ruggio took sixth in the same event with a mark of 58.25
 
Right after, multiple Cardinals competed in the 100m. Brock Young ran 11.60 to take 12^th overall. His time qualifies him for the E8 Championship.
 
On the Field at Brockport
 
Ivan Lopez-Testillano continues his strong year with a second place finish in the triple jump with a distance of 14.30m.
 
Sean Cochrane competed in the high jump and claimed second place after clearing 1.96m in his first attempt. Bryant DePaull claimed fifth place after jumping over the 1.91m bar.
 
Bryce Grove impressed in the javelin throw, tossing a distance of 47.84m in his second attempt. Jack Bickford competed in the hammer throw and took fifth place, thanks to his sixth and final throw that went 46.33m.
 
Next up, Fisher will be competing in day three of the Bucknell Bison Outdoor Classic. The invite will take place on Sunday, Apr. 16, and will be hosted by Bucknell University.
