Tennis Knocks Off Alfred In Dominant Fashion

ALFRED, N.Y. – The St. John Fisher University men's tennis team were on the road on Friday for a matchup against Alfred University. The Cardinals won every match in order to take the 9-0 victory and move to 4-6 on the year.
 
In the three doubles matches, Fisher was able was earn 8-2 victories. Anthony Molosag and Nick Licciarddello won the first match, before Sean Danahy and Ryan Wilson took their win. Zach DeCaro and Mason Shute finished the double-matches with a win of their own.
 
Molosag was the first to win his singles match. He did so in straight sets, 6-4, 6-3. Up next was Licciarddello, who used 7-5, 6-3 set wins to claim the victory. Danahy followed by winning two out of three, with the set wins coming in dominant 6-1 fashion. Wilson was impressive in his match, taking straight sets, 6-1, 6-1. Will Chub went three sets, winning the first 6-0 and taking the third 6-4. Finally, DeCaro shut his opponent down in back-to-back sets, winning 6-0, 6-1.
 
After a cancelation of their game against Medaille, the Cardinals will be back in action on Tuesday, April 18 as they head to Nazareth College for a rivalry battle at 4 p.m.
