ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The St. John Fisher University mens tennis team was on the road today to take on local opponent, RIT. Unfortunately, the team fell 9-0 to the tigers and fall to 2-3 on the season.
The doubles matches kicked off with
Sean Danahy and
Jake Anthony teaming up, they fell by a final of 8-2.
Ryan Wilson and
Will Chubb lost by the same score in their duos match and in between the two
Nick Licciarddello and
Anthony Molosag teamed up for their match.
Danahy led off the singles matches with a loss in straight sets, 6-4, 6-0. Anthony had a battle in his singles match, he took the first set 7-6 with a 9-7 tiebreaker and then pushed his opponent in the third set, eventually dropping it 10-6. Molosag was up next and dropped his match in straight sets, 6-1, 6-3. Chubb, Licciarddello and
Ryan Wilson all also competed and fell in straight sets.
Up next for the Cardinals is a road matchup against Houghton University on Saturday April 1. The contest is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.
