ROCHESTER, NY – The St. John Fisher University baseball team stayed local, as they played away against RIT. In a high scoring first few innings, the Cardinals come back in the ninth to earn the win, 10-8. After today's result, Fisher moves to an overall record of 4-9 on the year.
 
The Cardinals started the first inning strong, with James Murphy homering to center field, bringing in Noah Campanelli, the Cardinals leading 2-0. In the top of the second, Nick Lemire singled up the middle, driving in Campanelli. The Tigers then scored seven runs, the Cardinals trailing 3-7.
 
The fourth inning saw Campanelli hitting a double, with Jake Meeker scoring. In the top of the fifth, Brian Norsen singled through the right side, bringing in Murphy, the score 5-8. The sixth inning saw Lemire fouling out to bring in Noah Pohrte and Murphy doubling to bring in Campanelli, the score 7-8. In the ninth, Norsen doubled to left center to bring in Migliore and Guccia doubled to bring in Norsen, Pohrte singled to left field, bringing in Guccia.
 
Jason Wall, Hunter Walsh, Bryce Collis and Russell Dunlap combined to pitch 7.1 inning of three hit, one run ball. Dunlap pitched the final 2.0 innings and earned the victory. Campanelli and Murphy both finished with three hits, while Lemire and Norsen tallied multi-hit games as well with two.
 
Next up, the Cardinals travel to Buffalo to take on Medaille College in a doubleheader. The doubleheader will take place on Saturday, Mar. 25, with the first game beginning at 12 p.m.
