PITTSFORD, N.Y. – The St. John Fisher Men's Track and Field team traveled to Nazareth to compete in the Nazareth Conference Tune-Up. The meet took place on Friday and was hosted by Nazareth College.
On the Track
The meet began with
John Ruggio placing eighth in the first round of the 60m hurdles, running 8.80. In the final, Ruggio improved on his performance, running 8.65 to place 4
th overall and move up to third on the Empire 8 leader board.
In the 60m,
Curtis Cuvilly took 9
th place overall, running 7.23.
The 200m saw
Brady Bishop run 23.11, placing 8
th overall and moving him up to third on the E8 leader board.
Ending the night with the 4x400m, the Cardinals claimed 4
th overall. The team of
Peter Briggs, Luke Defio,
Mathieu Acquard, and
Gavin Henderson ran 3:46.49.
At the Field
First on the field was high jump, with
Sean Cochrane jumping 1.91m to take 2
nd overall.
In the triple jump,
Ivan Lopez-Testillano jumped 14.52m, taking 1
st place overall and furthering his lead to over a meter on the E8 leader board.
Next up for the Cardinals is the Empire 8 Championship. The Championship will be hosted by Nazareth College and will take place on Friday, Feb 24., and Saturday, Feb 25.
