ROCHESTER, N.Y – The St. John Fisher Men's Track & Field team traveled to Rochester to compete in the RIT February Friday Invitational. The meet took place on Friday and was hosted by RIT.
On the Track
In the 5000m,
Bogdan Rozvora ran 16:16.02 to place 9
th overall. His performance moves him to fourth on the Empire 8 leaderboard.
The mile saw Joshua Sandoval run 4:53.28, qualifying him for the E8 championship meet.
In the 400m, Luke Defio ran 54.78, qualifying him for the E8 championship meet.
The 3000m saw
Brandon Nicosia place 2
nd overall, after running 9:23.94. His time qualifies him for the E8 championship meet.
At the Field
The pole vault had multiple strong performances.
Sean Cochrane jumped 1.91m, taking 2
nd place overall.
Bryant DePaull was nearly identical, jumping 1.91m to place 3
rd overall.
Kuyler Coffin tied for 10
th, jumping 1.76m.
In the shot put,
Daniel Stephens threw 10.03m, qualifying him for the E8 championship meet.
In the long jump,
Matthew Stasiw jumped 6.95m, placing 4
th overall.
Jason Weng also had a strong performance, jumping 5.63m to qualify for the E8 championship.
The weight throw saw
Gavin Grinnell throw 11.36m, qualifying him for the E8 championship meet.
Next up for the Cardinals is the Boston University Valentine Invite, hosted by Boston University on Friday, Feb 10 and Saturday, Feb 11.
