PITTSFORD, N.Y. – The St. John Fisher University men's basketball team hit the road on Saturday to take on Hamilton College before finals week and winter break.

Fisher is 5-3, 2-0 in Empire 8 play and are coming off a weekend where they knocked off Hartwick College and Russell Sage College.

Last Time Out
Fisher started out fast, jumping out to a 16-4 advantage. The Gators fought back and reclaimed the lead at 28-27 with under five minutes to play. After a Daniel Cook layup, the Cardinals did not let up their advantage the remainder of the half and took a 36-34 lead into the break.

Sage quickly evened the score out of the break, but Fisher kicked it into gear, going on a 13-1 run to claim a 49-37 lead. The Gators cut their deficit back to single digits with five minutes to play, but a pair of free-throws by Jack Foley and layup by Connor Recore helped stop the runs and keep the Cardinals in front by double-digits. Fisher held on the rest of the way to secure the 78-64 win.
