READING, PA. – The St. John Fisher University women's basketball team won their third straight game on Tuesday, beating Penn State Berks, 110-25.

The 85-point victory is Fisher's largest since a 93-point win over Elmira on Dec. 3, 2022, when the Cardinals won 116-23. It passes their last game, an 84-33 road win over Sage last Saturday, for their largest win of the current season. 

Berks grabbed the lead less than 20 minutes into the game on a Liberty Sitzman layup to make it 2-0, but the Cardinals tied it up less than a minute later, 2-2, on a layup by sophomore Presleigh Brunner. Fisher then went on a  24-4 run to finish the first quarter with a 26-6 lead. The extended their lead to 56-11 at the half and to 78-18 after three quarters as they worked their way to the 110-25 final. 

Freshman forward Joleen Lusk led the Cardinals with 18 points in just 15 minutes of play, averaging 1.2 points per minute for the game. Lusk also added 16 rebounds, an assist, two blocks, and a steal. 

Junior Sidney Tomasso scored 13 points with 10 rebounds, an assist and a block, while Brunner had 11 points with five rebounds, two assists, two steals, and a block. Junior Katie Moravec and senior Claire Kruszka had three steals each. Senior Lauren Nawojski had five blocks, a career-high. 

Berks never reached double-digits in scoring in any of the four quarters. All fifteen Cardinals who played scored at least two points. 

The Cardinals return home on Saturday, Dec. 9, against SUNY Cortland. Tip-off is set for 2 p.m.
