PITTSFORD, N.Y. – The St. John Fisher University women's soccer team played arch-rival Nazareth to a scoreless draw on Wednesday down the street on Nazareth's campus.
The tie means that the Cardinals remain unbeaten in conference play this year- they are 2-0-3 in Empire 8 action.
Sophomore Avery Byrnes had 10 saves in the shutout. Junior Emma Spelman was the most aggressive of the Cardinals on offense, with three shots on goal.
The result is the second straight draw for Fisher against Nazareth- they tied 1-1 last season.
The Cardinals will return to Growney Stadium on Saturday, Oct. 14, at 1:00 P.M. against Sage.
