HOUGHTON, N.Y. – Graduate student Tom Callery had his first goal as a Cardinal on Wednesday as the men's soccer team played Houghton to a 1-1 draw.
Callery scored just 58 seconds into the game off an assist by junior Riley Rease to make it 1-0. Houghton equalized in the second half on a Caleb Bailey score, and that 1-1 score held until the end of the match.
Graduate student Christian Burkhart had three saves on the night. Senior Matt Gentile led the team in shots, with four.
The Cardinals, now 4-4-4 overall and 3-0-2 in the Empire 8, host Hartwick on Saturday for Senior Day. Kickoff is scheduled for 4:00 P.M.
