PITTSFORD, N.Y. – The St. John Fisher University athletics department and the softball program have established the 2023 schedule. The program finished the 2022 season with a record of 18-19, keeping a record of 11-3 in the Empire 8, staying 7-7 on the road, and 8-4 during away games. The Cardinals finished the season in the Empire 8 final and are ready to improve on their performance.
 
Across the Country: The Cardinals begin their season in Louisiana and Texas for a spring break trip. They kick it off with Centenary College in a double-header on Sunday, Mar. 5. The following day, Fisher travels to Marshall, TX to compete against multiple teams. The trip ends on Sunday, Mar. 11., against SUNY Oneonta. The Cardinals then travel back home and stay local in a double-header against the University of Rochester.
 
First Home Game: The Cardinals return to the Softball Complex for their first two home games of the season, in a double-header against RIT on Wednesday, Mar. 29. Fisher then moves to the road to compete in multiple games before returning home for another double-header against Buffalo State, on Wednesday, Apr. 5.
 
Conference Matchups: Fisher hosts their first Empire 8 matchup of the season with a double-header against Medaille University at home on Friday, April 7. The Cardinals will host eight straight games in April, with double headers against SUNY Fredonia, Houghton University, Keuka College and Nazareth College. The regular season ends at home, with the Cardinals traveling to Elmira College in a double-header taking place on Saturday, Apr. 29.
