KEUKA PARK, N.Y. -- The St. John Fisher University women's volleyball team traveled to Keuka College Wednesday for a conference game. A 13 ace performance helped push the Cardinals winning streak to three straight games after defeating the Wolves, 3-0. With the win, Fisher improved to 7-4 and 2-0 in Empire 8 play, while the Wolves fall to 2-10 on the year and 0-2 in the conference standings.

Keuka fought neck-and-neck with the Cardinals in the first set, seizing momentum after opening up a four-point lead at 15-11. Coming out of a timeout, the Cardinals would go on a 7-2 rally to open up a 20-17 edge. The run was capped by an ace from setter Reilly Morrow and a kill from outside hitter, Delayne Young. The ace from Morrow was one of five on the night. The Cardinals would complete the turnaround in the first set by rattling off another four-point rally to take set one 25-19.

After sprinting to a 14-4 lead in the second set, the Cardinals easily handled the frame 25-8. Fisher put the match away in the third set 25-16. Sydney French contributed six kills and two blocks, and Young led the Cardinals with seven kills. Katie Leaty was credited with 21 assists and seven digs for Fisher, while libero Kiera Hartpence contributed nine digs defensively.

As a team, Fisher hit .322 after clubbing 35 kills while Keuka only totaled 21 kills in the loss.

The Cardinals will look to continue their winning ways this weekend, as they take on Russell Sage College Friday at 7 p.m. and Hartwick College Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Manning and Napier Varsity Gym. Both games are Empire 8 matchups.
