Cardinals Defeat Golden Flyers On The Road

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The St. John Fisher University field hockey team was on the road on Wednesday for a night game at Nazareth College. The Cardinals totaled 40 shots, 24 of which were on goal, on their way to a 4-1 victory. Fisher moves to 2-6 on the year and 2-1 in Empire 8 play.

The first goal of the game came in the seventh minute, when after a Molly Fisher attempt was blocked, Emma Cooper came in and slotted the goal in to give the team a 1-0 advantage. The second score for the Cardinals didn't come until the third quarter when once again, Fisher was able to knock in a defensive save off of a Same Choate shot in the 34th minute of action. Two goals were scored in a five minute span in the fourth quarter, starting with Cooper converting an opportunity in the 46th minute.
