Men’s Soccer Battle Golden Knights On The Road

POTSDAM, N.Y. – The St. John Fisher University men's soccer team were on the road on Tuesday as they traveled to Clarkson University. The game was tight for the first 85 minutes, but it was the Golden Knights who walked away with a win after scoring in the final minutes. With the result, the Cardinals are now 2-3-1, while Clarkson remain undefeated at 6-0-0.

Fisher totaled three shots on the day and the first one came in the seventh minute. Brennan Brown took a chance to the bottom right of the goal but it was saved by the opposition goalie. In the second half, Trevor Heschke took a shot that was just right of the goal and a few minutes later Joe Barraco fired an attempt that missed the target. The Cardinals did a good job keeping the Golden Knights away from the back of the net, but in the 86th minute Clarkson got through and scored the only goal of the day. Jadon Sclierf was in goal for the full 90 minutes and collected six saves.

Fisher will be on the road again on Saturday, Sept. 24 when they head to Alfred University for the second Empire 8 game of the season. The match will take place at 5 p.m.
