PITTSFORD, N.Y. – The St. John Fisher University women's soccer team begin their campaign on Thursday, September 1. They will hit the road and travel to Allegheny College for a 7 p.m. kick-off. The Cardinals look to build off of the previous season where they finished 10-6-1 and lost to Nazareth College in the Empire 8 Championship game.
First Of Many
The 2021 conference final appearance was the first in the programs history, but the team has aspirations of getting back and winning it. In addition it was the first time the team reached double-digit wins in a single-season since 1995. The Cardinals will lean on four returning All-Empire 8 selections
Jenn Kirker, Emma Spleman,
Tori Cruz and
Kayla Rhude, to add leadership and continuity.
Fast Start
Fisher will look to come out of the gate winning just like they did in 2021, when they won four of their first five games. They have an opportunity to do something similar as they open the year on the road against Allegheny and SUNY Brockport before three straight home games against Geneva College, University of Rochester and SUNY Fredonia.
