PITTSFORD, N.Y. – The St. John Fisher University field hockey team has revealed its upcoming schedule with the Cardinals set to take on one of the most challenging schedules in program history.  Over 18 games, including 10 inside the friendly confines of Growney Stadium, Fisher will take on four teams that were either ranked or receiving votes in the final National Field Hockey Coaches Association poll.

First-year head coach Lauren Scorza's squad will kick off the season on September 1st at home against William Smith College before traveling to Ithaca College three days later on September 4th.

On Saturday, September 10th, Fisher welcomes the reigning SUNYAC champion New Paltz Hawks to campus before heading to Geneseo to take on the Knights on September 14th.

The Cardinals, who are coming off their second consecutive Empire 8 Championship last fall, are scheduled to make their conference debut on the road at Hartwick College on September 17th.  From there, the team will enjoy a brief two-game home stand beginning with Keuka College on September 21st before rounding out play against RPI at home on Sunday, September 25th.

From there, Fisher will travel down East Avenue to duke it out with rival Nazareth College on September 28th before returning home to take on Empire 8 newcomer Medaille University on September 30th.

The team will begin October with the defending national champion Middlebury College as the Cardinals travel to Vermont on October 2nd.  Scorza's group will return home two days later on October 4th to square off with Oswego State in another non-conference bout.

On October 8th, the Cardinals will renew pleasantries with Washington and Jefferson College in Pennsylvania before opening up a four-game home stand against Houghton College on October 12th.

Cortland comes calling on October 15th with Elmira College and Russell Sage set to follow on October 19th and 22nd, respectively.

The team will close out the regular season on the road beginning with one final non-conference tune-up against the University of Rochester on October 26th before playing its regular season finale at Utica on October 29th.
