HILTON HEAD, S.C. – The St. John Fisher College men's tennis team was back in action after nearly six months off as the Cardinals kicked off their annual spring trip to Hilton Head with a 7-1 loss to Beuna Vista on Monday, 7-1. With the defeat, Fisher falls to 0-2 on the season while BV improved to 3-4 overall.
The Cardinals' lone point came in fourth singles as
Jake Anthony bested his opponent, 6-1, 6-0.
Cameron Campbell had a competitive clash at third singles before ultimately falling in the third frame, 4-6, 6-4, 9-11.
Sean Danahy was also upended in three as the senior fell in first singles play, 6-4, 6-7, 4-10.
The Cardinals are back in action at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday when they take on Messiah University.
