UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS, OH – The St. John Fisher University women's basketball team competed in the second day of the John Carroll Tip-Off Tournament against Allegheny College. They jumped out to an early lead and cruised to a 70-48 win. The Cardinals move to 3-0 on the season and the Gators drop to 0-3.

Sidney Tomasso and Presleigh Brunner all made shots to open the game on a 7-0 advantage. They continued to push the momentum and with 1:46 to play in the first quarter, Tomasso knocked down a three to extend the lead to double-digits. As first ten minutes wound down, the Cardinals were ahead 20-9. The Gators continued to keep the game within striking distance as the second quarter began, but Fisher caught fire.
Lauren Nawojski, knocked down a three to extend the lead back to double-digits and after four straight free-throw makes,
Claire Kruszka hit a jumper to give the team a 33-15 advantage. With two minutes to play,
Lauren Petrie pushed the Cardinals in front by 20 with a made jump shot. At the half, Fisher was in front 39-21.
The Cardinals continued to extend their lead as the second half began. Tomasso knocked a jump shot to go ahead by 20. Back-to-back three-pointers by Kruszka extend the lead to 26 and with two minutes to play,
Anna Milham grew the advantage to 30. Heading into the final quarter, the Cardinals led 60-28. 13 different players saw the court for Fisher in the final 10 minutes of action, and they walked away with the comfortable 70-48 win.
Kruszka led the team with 14 points and added six rebounds and two assists. Walker and Nawojski contributed nine points each. Walker recorded eight rebounds and four steals and Nawojski shot 4-for-5 from the field.
The Cardinals return to action on Thursday, Nov. 17 as they head to the University of Rochester for the start of the Mark's Pizzeria Crosstown Shootout. The match against the Yellowjackets is slated for an 8 p.m. tip.
