Tori Cruz recorded the first shot attempt for Fisher in the sixth minute and the opposing goalie needed to make a save in order to prevent the early goal. Emma Spelman had the next attempt in the 24th minute, but the shot went just wide. The Cardinal defense withstood the Naz attack and were able to take advantage of an opportunity in the 43rd minute.
