PITTSFORD, N.Y. – The St. John Fisher College women's tennis team fell to visiting SUNY Geneseo, 7-2, on Friday afternoon in a non-conference tilt inside Mendon Racquet and Pool Club. With the loss, Fisher dipped to 2-3 on the year while the Knights improved to 2-0 overall.
In double play, Fisher turned to
Mikayla Santulli and
Kathryn Strait in the first flight as the duo pulled out an 8-6 decision. The Cardinals earned their second point at first singles after Strait won her pairing, 6-2, 1-6, 10-7.
The Cardinals will return to Empire 8 play at 1 p.m. on Saturday when they take on Alfred University at Mendon Racquet and Pool Club.
