PITTSFORD, N.Y. - The St. John Fisher College Department of Athletics would like to recognize Chris Bowman, Athletic Facility Manager, in participation with The Athletic Equipment Managers Association (AEMA) Equipment Manager Appreciation Week.  The AEMA Equipment Manager Appreciation week is held annually during the third week of September.
 
"Chris's hard work, long hours, and devotion to our student-athletes is what makes our department a success," said Associate Athletic Director Jennifer Granger.  "Chris cares for and provides incredible service to our athletes, coaches, and staff and we are incredibly lucky to have him."   
 
Bowman's history at Fisher is long, beginning with his first appointment as assistant coach for the men's soccer team where he helped guide the Cardinals to the 2016 Empire 8 Championship and the team's first-ever appearance in the NCAA Division III Championship.  With Bowman on the sidelines, the program yielded dozens of All-Conference honorees, two All-America selections, one Empire 8 Player of the Year, and two conference Rookie of the Year recipients.   
 
Bowman continued to serve in that role until 2017 when he became the equipment manager for the department.  The Syracuse native's work ethic was further recognized in 2021 when he was named the College's athletic facility manager.
