PITTSFORD, N.Y. – The St. John Fisher College men's tennis team continued to search for its first win of the season as the Cardinals suffered a 9-0 setback against SUNY Oneonta on Friday at the Mendon Racquet and Pool Club. With the loss, Fisher fell to 0-7 on the season while the Red Dragons improved to 5-4 overall.
After falling in first and second doubles, the Cardinals nearly earned a point at third doubles before
Jordan O'Connell and
Tim Christman fell, 8-7.
In singles play,
Dustin McCullough played a competitive flight but ultimately came up short, 6-4, 7-6.
Fisher will return to action at 1 p.m. next Saturday when it opens conference play against Utica College at Mendon Racquet and Pool Club.
