Elmira, N.Y. – The St. John Fisher College field hockey team picked up its eleventh consecutive victory on Saturday as it defeated Elmira College in an Empire 8 Conference battle 4-0. With the win, the Cardinals improve to 11-1 on the year and 3-0 in the Empire 8, while Elmira falls to 1-10 and 0-4 in the Empire 8.

Ashley Maynard completed her fourth shutout of the season and improved her record to 11-1 on the season.
Fisher got the scoring started at the 15:40 mark of the first half as
Kelly Bergamo tallied her third goal of the season.
The Cardinals started off the second half quickly as
Lindsay Scott put Fisher up 2-0 just over three minutes into the second period.
Emily Markarian did not waste any time as she took a
Bre Socker pass and scored the third Fisher goal just two minutes later.
Markarian scored her 16th of the season and the fourth Cardinal goal at the 53:26 mark as
Reghan Amoroso picked her fifth assist of the season.
The Cardinals are back in action at 4 p.m. on Thursday as they travel to Keuka Park to take on the Keuka College Wolves in a non-conference matchup.
