The St. John Fisher College field hockey team picked up its first win of the season on Wednesday, as the Cardinals came away with a 5-0 win over host College at Brockport.
With the victory, Fisher improves to 1-1 overall.

Michaela Altobelli assisting on the play.
Less than seven minutes later, freshman
Reghan Amoroso scored her first collegiate goal off a pass from
Gabby LaForce.
Fisher would push its lead to 3-0 on the opening moments of the second half as freshman
Kelly Bergamo scored her first career goal with
Emily Markarian getting credit for the assist.
Markarin made it 4-0 scoring on a breakaway midway through the second half, while sophomore
Keeley Samsonik closed out the scoring, tallying her first goal of the season with Amaroso assisting.
Amanda Maciol earned the win in net, while
Julia Dyer played the final 18 minutes and helped preserve the shutout.
Fisher returns to action at 12 p.m. on Saturday and will host Johns Hopkins University.
