The St. John Fisher College field hockey team defeated SUNY Geneseo 4-1 Wednesday evening at the Knights' College Stadium. With the win, field hockey improves to 7-2 on the year and also sets the program record for most consecutive wins with six. Geneseo moves to 1-8 overall.
After Geneseo found itself up 1-0 at the 17:38 mark, the Cardinals were able to answer just under two minutes later.

Lauren Fazio to even everything up at 1-1, which would be the score heading into half.
In the second half it was all Fisher, beginning with a goal just 3:56 in by
Emily Markarian. She was followed up by Fazio in the 64
th minute and
Nickole Morgan in the 67
th.
Lindsay Scott earned three points on the night, dishing out all three second half assists.
Ashley Maynard got the call in goal for the Cardinals, turning aside seven Geneseo shots.
Fisher will return to action at 5 p.m. on Saturday as the team hosts Ithaca College for another conference battle.
