The St. John Fisher College field hockey program jumped out to a 5-0 lead after one half and never looked back, as the Cardinals coasted to a 9-1 win over visiting Elmira College on Saturday at Fisher's Growney Stadium.
With the win, Fisher improves to 5-2 overall and remains perfect at 3-0 in the Empire 8 Conference. The win also marked Fisher's fourth straight victory, tying the College record for consecutive wins.
Four different women notched a pair of goals in the contest including,
Emily Markarian,
Keeley Samsonik,
Kelly Bergamo and
Lauren Fazio.
The Cardinals final goal came from
Gabby LaForce, who tacked on an assist earlier in the game as well.
Ashley Maynard played the first half in goal and extended her scoreless streak to 188 minutes with allowing a goal.Â
Amanda Maciol registered two saves over the final 35 minutes.

Fisher returns to action at 1 p.m. on Saturday at St. Lawrence University.
