The St. John Fisher College Men's soccer team dropped a 4-1 decision to the Highlanders of Houghton College in its late-night Empire 8 Conference opener on Saturday.
With the loss, Fisher falls to 1-5-1 on the season, and 0-1 in the Empire 8. Houghton improves to 3-2-2 and 1-0 in the Empire 8.
Houghton struck early on, scoring a goal just under seven minutes into the match. The Highlanders would score two more times before Fisher would get on the board.
Just before half the game would be put on pause due to lightening in the area, but after the break, junior
Bryan Rollins found the back of the net in the 78
th minute, assisted by
Dallas Kaiser, for the Cardinals lone goal.
Just minutes later Houghton struck again, capping off the night with four goals.

Joe Catalfamo finished the day with five saves.
The Cardinals are back in action at 7 p.m. on Tuesday for another game under the lights when they take on the University of Rochester at Growney Stadium.
