The St. John Fisher College women's soccer program dropped a 2-0 decision to host Rochester Institute of Technology on Wednesday afternoon.
With the loss, Fisher falls to 1-2-1 overall. Â The Cardinals will begin their Empire 8 Conference schedule on Saturday at Utica College.
The Tigers took the lead for good in the 11th minute, capitalizing on a breakaway.
Fisher had some solid scoring opportunities later in the half, with
Brianna Sammon and
Alison Menges each getting good looks, but weren't able to find the back of the net.
The Tigers added another goal in the 53rd minute to seal the win.
For Fisher, senior goalie
Gabriella Cotugno made five saves.
